Can beer help bust our biases?

Upworthy: A new Heineken commercial has gone viral. The clip shows people with opposing views brought together. They are asked to discuss their differences over a beer. “As the tape rolls, the woman he's been speaking with looks to the ground, appearing uncomfortable and anxious. She is transgender. It was a powerful, intimidating, and suspenseful moment.”

New York Times: Revelers at a new bar in New York receive a token with every drink that they can drop into jars designated for organizations like the ACLU, Planned Parenthood, and Human Rights Watch. Donations to the groups are allocated accordingly. Cheers! “The decor is modern protest. Rolls of butcher paper have been attached to the walls, inscribed with slogans like ‘The Pilgrims were undocumented’ and ‘They tried to bury us. They didn't know we were seeds.’"
